Welcome to Mad About Development

We are beyond excited to have launched Mad About Development, a new training initiative and wing of our professional theatre company, located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

Mad About Development offers full time, professional training for the Musical Theatre industry, with our first intake of students training with us in 2025. We are delighted to provide government recognised qualifications in partnership with Empowerdance Pty Ltd RTO 40397 to provide high quality professional training.

We are thrilled in 2026 to announce the introduction of our School Based stream, as well as the expansion of our Tertiary program. Students of our courses will have the opportunity to learn from Industry Professionals through workshops, masterclasses and / or industry placements, as well as having more than 3 performance opportunities throughout their courses, with which to put their training into practice!

What happens next?

You will be notified 48 hours after we receive your application advising if you are successful and move on to the following rounds. If you are required to submit a video, you will have 1 week to submit your self tape from the request date.

If you are successful in our TERTIARY application round, you will move on to the self tape round.

Tertiary self tape will include:

a) 1 song,

b) 1 monologue

c) 30sec-1min dance

If you are successful in our SCHOOL BASED application round, you will move on to the skills video round.

School based skills video will include:

a) 2 minute video showing us your skills! This could be a song, a dance, a monologue, or a combination! Please do not exceed 2 minutes.
